COLCA CANYON EXPEDITION 5 DAYS 4 NIGHTS |

This is the most highlight trek in the region. Here you will combine our famous Colca Trek and the rest of the region, by 4wd in the way back to Arequipa, we'll visit the petrogliphs of Toro Muerto, after Cabanaconde passes through Huambo and then the little Volcanoes valley, providing us a view of 6 volcanoes, 2 very closed to the road volcanoes then crossing the dunes of the Atacama desert (the driest desert in earth) and then we arrive to Toro Muerto. We will see a variety of more than 5000 volcanic stones belonging to Wari impire from pre-Incan times. After a guided visit we take the road to Punta Colorada along the way, where we'll stop to enjoy different dishes prepared with "Shrimps of the Majes River ." After We take the Pan-American Hi way to return to Arequipa or we can stay and going to Nasca. |

Day 1:

Day 2:
We have breakfast at 6:00 hours and then we go to Cruz del Condor view point in our transport, here we can appreciate the canyon and the impressive condors flying, after this we start our hike down to San Juan de Chuccho village (4 hours walking approximately). We get to the Colca River and half an hour later, we arrive to San Juan de Chuccho. We will have a really nice view of the canyon from the village. We will have dinner cooked for our guide. We will rest and sleep in local houses or cabins. |
Day 3:
After breakfast, we start the trek into Cosñirgua and Malata villages, these villages are very interesting and our professional guides will explain all about this people and how they built these terraces, showing you the snow-capped summits, and the varieties of plants. Then we leave the Colca Canyon in to the less visited Llatica Canyon, crossing small rivers, through cactus forests (testing it delicious fruits, tunas). After a very nice hike, we arrive to the village of Fure , located on the left side of the Llatica canyon, here we have lunch and free afternoon, to rest and understand the way of live of this forgotten place. |

Day 4:
After Breakfast, we hike trek to the beautiful Huaruro Water fall, for a very narrow path, and after couple of hours we will be back. We return to Fure to take our backpacks and we star hiking down to the village of Llatica , here we cross a hanging bridge. After visit this village we keep going down hill and arrive to Pallca Located in a impressive balcony with magnificient views of the Colca canyon and the Llatica Canyon, we have lunch and after a rest we enjoy the near hot springs, in the afternoon we can try to fish some trout, for our dinner (we'll have it any way), in the night we can see the beautiful starts, dinner and sleep. |
Day 5:
After breakfast, we keep hiking down hill, and we cross the Soro bridge, after 3 hours of hike, we will have our 4wd car, waiting for us, we go out off the canyon in this vehicle, and just before Cabanaconde we take the way to the west driving through Huambo and after we pass by the little Volcanoes valley, providing us a view of 6 volcanoes, 2 of then very closes to the road, then crossing the dunes of the Atacama desert (the driest desert in earth) and then we arrive to Toro Muerto. We will see a variety of more than 5000 volcanic stones belonging to Wari times (before the Incas). After an interesting visit of this ancient art, we'll stay to enjoy different dishes prepared with "Shrimps of the Majes River ." After we take the Pan-American Hi way to return to Arequipa or we can keep going to Nasca. |
