Itinerary
Our adventure begins with the arrival to Cusco city from where we will move to our hotel where we will enjoy a delicious "mate de coca" that will help us to get used to the height. Our guided tour starts in the afternoon; we will appreciate the city and surrounding ruins where the parade square or Acaypata is the most famous for the imposing Cathedral and the beautiful Church La Compañía. Going on with our tour we will visit Santo Domingo Convent known for being build over the Koricancha, the main religious building for the Incas where they adored the Sun. The Koricancha also was used as a shelter for different gods and governor's mummies. The excursion continues in Sacsayhuaman Fortress, the Inca's magnificent military construction that will help us to travel in our imagination to a past of courageous warriors. Sacsayhuaaman is located over a hill in the top of Cusco and its main purpose was to protect the emporium capital. This fortress will surprise us for its construction with enormous carved rocks with an amazing perfection. Finally our adventure guide us to Quenco and Tambomachay, religious buildings where different rituals took place. In these splendid places we could appreciate the net of platforms and basins where flowing water is carried from the heights. Get ready to have an adventure in the mystic and amazing Inca's world and feel the energy of this magic land.
