Overview
Situated in Arequipa department, Caylloma province, in the Chila range, (central Andes’ range), it contains the origin (source) of the Amazons River, the longest river in South America, explored in the 80´s by Jacques and Michel Cousteau and visited for many scientific expeditions till now. For this touristy circuit, a technical training is not necessary, just a good adaptation to the altitude because you have to walk more than 4000 m high, during 3 or 4 days, depending on the client.
